Tree planting trips

22) On 16-19 July 2014, members of HomelandGreen went tree planting with a group of Hong Kong secondary school teachers and students in the third plantation site of NPO Greenlife in Duolun, Inner Mongolia, and made arrangement for the participants to meet university students from various provinces of China and exchange views and information about the problem of desertification in China, the efforts of the Chinese Forestry to combat desertification and the ecological and historical significance of Duolun. 

17) On 10-14 April 2014, friends and members of HomelandGreen went tree planting in the 3rd plantation site of NPO GreenLife in Duolun, Inner Mongolia, with a group of secondary school teachers and students from Hong Kong.  They took part in the launching ceremony of the 2014 tree planting season and shared with the Hong Kong participants information about the problems of desertification of China, efforts of the Chinese Forestry to combat desertification and the ecological and historical significance of Duolun.

10) HomelandGreen facilitated the participation of a group of secondary teachers and students from Hong Kong in the tree planting activity of NPO GreenLife in Duolun, Inner Mongolia for the first time on 2-5 July 2013 and shared with teachers and students information about the problems of Desertification in China, the various projects undertaken by the Chinese Forestry to combat desertification and the ecological and historical significance of the Duolun county.

5) Friends and members of the Organizing Committee of HomelandGreen took part in the first tree planting activity in the third plantation site of NPO GreenLife in Duolun, Inner Mongolia on 5-8 April 2013. This activity is part of the project ‘Million mu of Pinus sylvestris’ through which the Chinese Forestry aims to reverse the desertification process north of the Beijing and Tianjin area.  Members spoke in the launching ceremony on behalf of HomelandGreen and marked the formal commencement of the participation of HomelandGreen in the voluntary tree planting work of NPO GreenLife in Inner Mongolia.
